Mārga (मार्ग), a path. A way walked with intention.
Breath Mārga is a ten-night pilgrimage into the Indian Himalaya, held in two parts: First we trek through one of the most remote valleys in Uttarakhand, and then we settle into deep practice & rest at our river retreat centre.
मार्ग मार्ग मार्ग
Where inner and outer exploration meet.
Breath Mārga was created for those who value the balance between their spiritual practice, and being “two feet on the earth” people. For those who enjoy going deep into practice, but also enjoy the aliveness of moving their body and challenging themselves.
Because the path we explore inwards can’t be done without integrating it directly back into our outer experience.
This is embodied living of a spiritual steward in the modern world.
If you've ever felt the pull to go further into your practice, but also crave movement, challenge, and real terrain under your feet, this was created for you.
Part 1: The Harkidun Trek
Day 1: We start in Rishikesh, with 1 night by Ganga Ma to settle and meet the group. We will open with ceremony and ritual at a temple hosted by Pandits.
Day 2 - 6: From there, we began our journey into the Himalaya region, first travelling by car to the village of Sankri where we will be hosted in a local homestay, having the opportunity to experience real Himalaya village life; all food grown in their garden, meals cooked over fire, and a real insight into community living.
After one night in Sankri, we’ll be leaving with full bellies and new skills in cooking our own chapati, we’ll start our trek to our next village, Oslo.
Oslo, also known as “the last village before the Himalayas”, is only accessible by foot. Again, we’ll be hosted in a local homestay in a village made of wooden houses. This will be our home base our trek.
In the days that follow, we’ll spend our time exploring shepherds' paths, journeying through open mountains, river crossings and the most lush alpine meadows. We’ll have fresh glacier water coming from waterfalls around us, and again, some of the best food cooked with SO. MUCH. LOVE.
Please note, this is not an experience curated for tourists, this is the REAL INDIA, raw and unfiltered.
Part 2: The River Retreat (4 nights)
Day 7-11: From the mountain, we make our way back towards Rishikesh, to our favourite retreat centre set directly on the river.
Here, the outer journey turns inward. Days are held by integrative practice of yoga, meditation, and blocks of silence, alongside philosophy and workshop sessions drawn from the non-dual traditions of Kashmir Shaivism and Bhakti yoga.
We will have the opportunity to be apart of beautiful Bhakti ceremonies & rituals such as Puja, Yagya and temple chanting.
There is space to rest, to swim, to write, to simply BE. This is the foundation for integrated and sustained spiritual growth to take place.
There is no point expanding up and out, if we cannot also root down deeply.
Who is this for:
Breath Marga is open to all genders.
You spend more time in your body than in stillness; you move, train, walk, and you're ready to let that physicality become a doorway into something deeper.
You're already deep in the inner work, well acquainted with your own stillness, and you're looking for a way to stabilise that state of being into physical reality.
You're drawn to both physical challenge and inner work, and want a retreat that doesn't ask you to choose between the two.
You have a baseline level of fitness (this is a moderate-grade trek at altitudes up to 3,500m).
It's your first time to India and you want a way in that's holistic and held, rather than jumping straight into the chaos of big cities.
You're craving remoteness (villages, valleys, rivers) over crowds, traffic, and noise.
You're at a threshold moment, a transition, an ending, a becoming, and you want a physical and spiritual container to support this evolution.
You're craving devotion, something to place your attention on beyond yourself
You want to build a relationship to your own resilience. Physically, not just conceptually.
You're ready for a digital detox.
You want community that goes deeper than small talk
You want to feel seen and heard by community who really gets it.
You know that “if nothing changes, nothing changes”, its time to pick YOU!!
You know LIFE IS FOR LIVING!!
No one comes to India by accident.
There is often a feeling, a curiosity you can’t shake, an inner knowing that there is something deeper and more intentional than what currently sits in your sphere.
That pull isn't random, it's often the first sign that your practice is ready to move from something you do into something you live.
White Sun is the ground beneath your practice. It is the support and space to help you stabilise what you already carry, so it doesn't stay theoretical, it becomes embodied wisdom.
